Declutter Your Home Office Desk
The “Keep, Toss, File” Method
- Start Fresh: Remove everything from your desk. This creates a clean slate and helps you see how much stuff has accumulated.
- Sort into Three Categories:
- Keep: Essential items you use daily (pens, notebook, computer).
- Toss: Broken, outdated, or unnecessary items (dried pens, old sticky notes).
- File: Papers and documents you need to store for reference. Use folders, binders, or a filing system.
- Go Vertical: Use desk organizers or wall-mounted shelves to free up surface space.
- Adopt Minimalism: Keep only what you need and love on your desk—perhaps a plant or a small personal item for a touch of personality.
- Daily Maintenance: At the end of each day, spend 5 minutes tidying up to maintain your clutter-free space.
A decluttered desk enhances focus, productivity, and creativity!
